The Crypt Grammar School has an excellent reputation for teaching to ‘A’ level, the ‘gold standard’ Level 3 qualification in the UK.  

This year 33 of the 102 A-Level candidates achieved at least one of the top rating A* grades, and overall 90 entries - nearly a quarter of Crypt Grammar School’s total of 392 entries - were awarded an A*-A grade across a full spectrum of subjects. Most importantly, almost all students secured the grades they needed for their first choice university.

The numbers of students in our Sixth Form supports a broad curriculum that offers you flexibility and choice. All students begin their Year 12 curriculum by studying four AS subjects - although some may choose to study more than this. In Year 13, most students continue with three full A-Levels, although some students continue to study all four subjects.  Many students combine their A-level subjects with the AQA Baccaulureate, Open University modules and General Studies.
