Sports Leaders 2011 - the School Sports Community

Last year saw many innovations and opportunities at The Crypt School through the SSCo scheme and School Sports Partnership. Highlights included girls fitness, golf, basketball, futsal and beginner badminton. Through the scheme students had the opportunity to compete for the school in athletics, cross country and swimming as well as many other sports run through the PE department.

This year has seen many changes in the structure of the partnership and the role of SSCo has changed. This year the target is to offer more competitive opportunities to students and maintain the high level of variety the school offers in extra curricular provision. I am also looking to develop the sports leaders awards we run at the school through an advanced award for the best sports leaders at the school. This is the first time it has been offered at Crypt.

With London Olympics fast approaching, I am also looking to promote all the Olympic values through activities throughout the school culminating in an ancient Olympic day. More updates on this and other events will follow throughout the year.
