Provision: The standard of school sport is very high, and the school has been represented at national level in a variety of activities. Many pupils have also gained County or District honours. However, not every boy can be a proficient sportsman, but all are encouraged to make a genuine effort to achieve their individual potential.

The School is currently the District Athletics Champions and has provided a number
of athletes for the District and County teams. These athletes then produced some
good sports performances at the County Championships with no less than 7 top three
placements. Some of these athletes were then selected for the South West Championships.
We have also had success in a variety of other sports such as Football -
Sports: Physical Education and Games form an essential and an integral part of the broad education of our young students. From years 7 to 11 all boys will have a one hour PE lesson and a one hour games lesson each week. All boys in Year 7 play Rugby, Cricket, Athletics, Basketball and Gymnastics. In years 8 and 9 boys will have the opportunity to participate in Rugby, Football, Hockey, Cricket,
Basketball, Gymnastics, Athletics
and Cross-
9 will also have the opportunity to
participate in an outdoor activities
week in the South of France. In the
Sixth Forms pupils can extend their
level of participation to activities
outside of the school curriculum.
These activities include Squash,
Golf and Skiing.
Past Successes: The school has
toured Canada twice and returned
unbeaten . In recent seasons we
have had representation in the
England U18 XV, U18 A XV, South
West U18 XV as well as regular
representation in the county U18
and U16 squads. Several boys
represented the U16’s
last season.
