Rugby has a great tradition at the school and the school is very pleased to retain its strong links to the Old Cryptians RFC.  Several Senior tours to Canada have occured in past years and a tour is planned to South Africa in 2013. Pupils of all abilities are given the opportunity to develop their skills at their own pace and the School maintains a strong and very competitive fixture list, including regular Saturday morning fixtures against other local grammar, comprehensive and independent schools. We offer B team fixtures where possible in the junior age groups and enter regional and national competitions, such as the Daily Mail Cup. Many individuals have represented the Gloucester District, County, South West and England Schools, including a strong representation in the Gloucester RFC Academy squads. The School's 1XV coach also coaches England's U16 squad.
