Girls Sport

As we prepare to welcome girls into the main school for the first time, we are excited to ensure our current provision for boys sport is matched by the sport offered for girls. There are clear plans in place to ensure our girls are both engaged and challenged within their school sport and look forward to representing the school.

Netball will be the main competitive sport throughout the Spring and Autumn term with fixtures against other local grammar, comprehensive and independent schools. However, we are also aiming to have a girls football and rugby team in place to compete in local and regional competitions. Girls will also have the opportunity to represent the school in swimming, cross-country, handball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, cricket, rounders and athletics as they progress through the academic year.

Alongside the traditional sports, we are also excited to be able to offer girls trampolining, dance and gymnastics as part of the PE programme and depending on students interests and ability there is also the opportunity to take part in local competitions within these sports.
